Sy - AI
Sy Goldstein is the pseudonym of a Toronto-based AI artist. On Instagram, he has created an alternate world of bizarre AI-generated street photography portraits in an imaginary 1980s New York City, complete with interviews and backstories. He has been an AI artist since December 2022 with background in film and video production as well as photography. He went to film school and received a BFA in Film Studies, and has been surrounded by cameras his whole life. As an AI artist, his style has mainly been gritty yet comedic, bizarre, sci-fi-influenced street portraits. Outside of that I have a much more cinematic approach to my work, and is very interested in telling stories that are different, or finding a different angle to something familiar.
